OS: The Quarrel Of Lovers Is The Renewal Of Love

'I'm not coming to the party. They will again make fun of me that I agreed after all. So sorry.'

'Hey come on. You don't have to talk to me there. So why won't you come? All the others are coming.'

'But they will tease us again. So for the last time now, I'm not coming!!!'

'C'mon Khushi. What's the point in arguing now. They have teased us enough. They won't do it again now.'

'No way Arnav. You and me...we both know them very well. It was enough for me, today morning.'

'And I'm saying I'll handle it if they start again.'

'Of course...to prove their saying right!'

'Let it be now Khushi. That we have stopped speaking to each other isn't enough, you even want to stop seeing each other now?'

'Ae hello...I am coming at college on Monday! And besides, am glad that all are unaware of us still writing SMS to each other. And ya...do delete these messages afterward.'

'You are really overreacting!'

'I'm not!'

'Of course!'

'NO!'

'JUST SHUT UP and come to the party!'

'YOU SHUT UP! And I'm not coming to the party.'

'I'm switching off my cell. Just good night!'

'Hey wait...'

'Hello...Khushi...'

'Khushi...you idiot'

'Okay fine. I won't even send you SMS' from now on.'

[FLASHBACK]

They glared at each other with greeted teeth like two wild wolves, who are currently fighting for their prey. The kept their positions until a sound was to be heard and their eyes turned in the other direction.
"What are you looking at each other? I am here! Look forward!" The teacher ordered and they didn't have any other choice than looking at the front side.

But after just five minutes...

"You fool."

"You idiot!"

"Idle skitter!"

"Twat!"

"Swine!"

"I'm a swine? And you are a silly cow!"

"What? Silly cow? And you're a skunk!"

"What the f**k! I-"

"STOP IT, YOU TWO!" The professor finally interrogated after they started yelling and calling each other names.

They gazed at each other shortly and before the other one could take the floor both proclaimed at the same time pointing at each other. "HIS / HER FAULT!"
"NO! YOUR FAULT!" They turned and bashed each other once again.
"Oh, SHUT UP!" She disrupted their small talking with a nerved expression. "It's always the same. You both get out and sort out the matter now."
"No mam. Please don't throw me out. He started it."
"She's lying. I didn't start. She was the one to snatch away my mobile."
"Because he kept messaging me. It was disturbing.'
But then it hit them. They both bit their tongues and spotted at each other when they realized what they just uttered in front of their teacher. Slowly they turned their gazes to see the fuming expression of their educator. "Aren't phones forbidden during lessons?"
They both were dumbstruck at that statement of their tutor and gave her creepy sweet smile. "I...I mean we-"
"GET OUT!"
"No mam, please."
"Khushi, Arnav, just go out and clear your matter."
She was burning in anger but still her command was very quiet and calm. After all this wasn't the first time. She was completely fed up, in fact all teachers and professors were disgruntled of their daily sweet bitter fights now.
They use to fight every day and once in a week they would be kicked out of the classroom. But the annoying fact for the educator was that it was randomly and not predictable whom it's going to be hit the next. And this week, it was already Friday and they didn't get the sack once. But it was time to change that. She had completely lost it and they were forced to leave.

"The quarrel of lovers is the renewal of love!" A classmate exhaled his comments grinning.

Khushi's mouth shaped a perfect 'O' and she buzzed off scowling him. "I am going to kill you."

After that they were teased for the rest of the day and they both declared in front of all to never talk again to each other.

[FLASHBACK ENDS]

'Hey Arnav, how's the party?'

'Come on Arnie, please...I 'm sorry about yesterday. But try to understand me. I don't want anybody to think like that about us.'

'Let them think what they want. We both know we're just friends so why are making an issue of this small thing?'

'It's not a small thing for me. But just let it be. I don't want to argue again. Are you having fun?'

'It's really boring without you. It wasn't fun so I went out and am standing outside.'

'You know what, I think I can just come over to check if the party's really boring.'

'I'm waiting...'

"Finally, I thought you played a prank with me." He sighed in relief when he saw her coming outside to the parking plot. She smiled and wrote something on her cell.
His phone beeped and he saw her message. 'We can't talk to each other. You forgot?'
"O come on Khushi. No one's here and besides, you really think that the others took us serious?"
He asked with frowned brows and just as she started writing again on her mobile to reply he quickly snatched it away and held it up so that she couldn't reach it. Nevertheless she tried much and jumped around but didn't succeed. "Stop jumping like a monkey. I'll give it to you if you yourself ask me to." She couldn't do anything else but agreeing to his condition.
"Fine! Give it to me." She spoke a bit roughly extending her hand. He smirked and handed it her.

"Now come sit down." He pulled her down making her sit beside him on the ledge. "You know the party has started now."
She smiled on his statement but then reminded herself that she was angry at him for dragging away her phone. So she crossed her arms on her chest and turned her face on the other side.
"Not again! Don't tell me you are angry because I took your mobile." He sighed in annoyance. She stayed numb and didn't answer him, nor she looked at him.
"You know what, it's because of you that they teased us yesterday. You use to get annoyed at every damn little thing." He complained out of irritation and she spun to face him bewildered. "And the you blame me."
"Hey hello, I! I get annoyed at every little thing? You were sending me messages while I was trying to get the solutions for the tasks." She responded with equal anger and irritation.
"Because you were ignoring my questions and busy searching the solutions in the net. So I didn't have any other choice."
"What I can do for that if you don't listen to the teachers and afterward doesn't get anything. It's not wondering."
"Because I think I can rely on you!"
"Ya but in every lesson? It's annoying!"
"But in return I always pay the bills in the canteen. I never complained."
"Because I don't eat that much that you would run of money in just some days."
"You think what you eat is less? You are mistaken Ms. Gupta."
"What do you wanna say? I'm fat?"
"I never said that!"
"But you meant it!"
"Are you deaf? No wait, you are not deaf but you are mad."
"Yes, I am really mad. You know why? Because I have you as my best friend!"
"So that's also my fault now. Well, then let's just put it to an end."
"Fine! I agree."
"Good! In fact, great!"
"Yeah!"

They both stood up and rushed to the opposite directions. Their mind were completely filled up with indignation and resentment. But afterward they landed into the club where the party was held and racked themselves with alcohol while glowering each other. It didn't took long and they were drowned in inebriation.

They both stood up from their seats and headed towards the other staggering and lurching.

"I HATE YOU!" She yelled right at first causing others attention when they both met in between.
"I HATE YOU EVEN MORE!" He shouted back. And in no time her wrath flew away leaving an innocent and repenting expression behind. "Really?" She asked with tears getting in her eyes.
His heart skipped a beat and his fury vanished away seeing her almost crying. He filled the gap between them and cupped her face with his hands. "No buddy, I don't hate you." His voice sounded to the one of a little kid when asking for apology. "In fact, I think I love you."
"Really?" She inquired again just to hear those words again from him.
"Yes, I love you Khushi. But couldn't tell you because I didn't know if you also feel the same and didn't want to destroy our friendship." He claimed with a woeful voice.
"I love you too Arnav. I always did! But kept silent because of the same reason." Her face curved a wide smile and they stared at each other losing themselves in others eyes.  [Rabba Ve ]

The others clapped jovial and started dancing around the couple.
"Guys, they used to fight much huh... Didn't we always say the quarrel of lovers is the renewal of love?!"
